Sublette Centennial Committee seeks help checking elected officials list
December 16, 2022
The Sublette Centennial committee has compiled lists of the county elected officials over the past 100 years, and now they'd like to ask the publics help to review the list and let them know if anything looks incorrect. No compiled official list exists. These names and dates were gleaned from old newspapers and county minutes. If you have a relative who served, or are a big history buff, they would appreciate your input on these lists. They would also love to see photos of any of these elected officials if you have them. They will be doing more posts of more elected officials on their Sublette Centennial Facebook page.

The Unorganized County of Sublette was formed by the Wyoming legislature on Feb 15, 1921, approved by the residents on June 28, 1921, first commissioners elected on November 7, 1922, and elected officers sworn in on January 2nd, 1923 formally becoming Sublette County. Sublette County, Wyoming has been celebrating its Centennial in 2021, 2022 and 2023 in recognition of the two-year process of becoming a county.
With funding from the current Sublette County Commissioners, a special committee of volunteers was formed to plan several events and assist local organizations in participating throughout the centennial celebration period. Committee members are Mary Lankford, Clint Gilchrist, Tim Thompson, Debbee Woyciesjes, Todd Brown, Janet Montgomery and Betty Fear. Mindi Crabb was hired to help manage the work and keep up the committees Facebook page.
