A semi-truck hauling cattle crashed late Friday night, October 28th, at mile marker 133 on US 191 on the Rim between Daniel and Bondurant. The highway was closed until after midnight, although cleanup continued into Saturday. Unofficial reports are that the driver was uninjured, but at least seven of the cattle died in the crash. The loose cattle were rounded up and housed with a local rancher until the owners could retrieve them.
