Moving cattle
September 20, 2020
Rob Tolley sent in this photo of cattle starting to be brought down out of the mountains of the Upper Green on Saturday, September 19th. Once colder weather and some snow hits, big game wildlife and the rest of the cattle will naturally come down out of the mountains and work their way back down the valley. For the cattle, this is called the Green River Drift going back to their home ranches. For wildlife, it is their fall migration to winter ranges. Some of the activity can be caught on the trapperspoint.com webcam for the Drift cattle sorting and the pronghorn herds migrating across the wildlife crossing overpass at Trappers Point.
