Composting and Vermicomposting workshop Jan 31
January 28, 2019
The Sage and Snow Garden Club and the Sublette County Library are offering a workshop on composting and vermicomposting on Thursday, January 31 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sublette County Library’s Lovatt Room.
Master gardener Arlinda McLaughlin will teach participants how to build a compost pile to recycle food and yard waste. Monte White and Jessica Artz will share their vermicomposting skills on how to recycle food waste using red wriggler worms. Both types of composting yield valuable soil amendments and fertilizers for gardening.
Workshop leaders will teach participants how to build a bin for each type of composting, how to layer the materials, and how to use the finished compost and vermicompost. Handouts will be available for participants. Red wriggler worms and worm castings can be ordered at a very reasonable price at the workshop. This workshop is free and open to the public.
