Cliff Creek Fire update, Friday, July 22, 11:00PM: Fire managers held a community meeting in Pinedale Friday evening. Points emphasized were that US 191/189 is back open now through Hoback Canyon. Travelers are asked to not stop in the canyon in the area of the fire, just travel through carefully and watch out for firefighting personnel and vehicles near the roadway working on the fire. No stopping along the roadway or parking in pullouts is allowed within the fire area. No passing allowed in passing zones within the fire area. The Granite Creek drainage is still under mandatory evacuation. Bondurant residents have been allowed to return to their homes. Fire danger is rated Very High on the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The Forest Service is in the process of evaluating if they should move to Stage I fire restrictions soon, which will mean campfire and outdoor smoking restrictions. Fire managers thanked the public and cooperating agencies for all the offers to help and the excellent teamwork on this fast-moving fire.
