Wolves inhabiting northwestern Italy apparently prefer to feast on wild boar, according to reports from a research project studying wolf diets in the Tuscany region. Two-thirds of the total prey biomass found in wolf dung was attributed to the consumption of wild boar, while the other third was found to be roe deer.
