The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is proud to present its annual Music in the Park on Friday, August 3 at 6 p.m. in the American Legion Park in Pinedale (free admission).
Headlining this year’s event will be the Colorado 5-piece The Patti Fiasco with Jackson Hole rockabilly duo The Miller Sisters opening things up. The August 3 date will conclude PFAC’s Summer Series, so bring a cooler, bring the kids and enjoy some great music in American Legion Park.
Now boasting three years of touring, writing, recording, and playing heart and face- melting shows together, The Patti Fiasco is a rare crew of Wyoming rockers (now based out of Fort Collins, Colorado). Their Wyoming heritage and affinity for old-school country inspires an inevitable (and endearing) twang, though The Patti Fiasco still wears the pants of a rock and roll outfit. Front-woman Alysia Kraft, "is seething with talent and energy" (www.99thepoint.com) "and has star quality pouring out of her." (Sonic Reducer, Official Fanzine for the Rock and Roll Tribe). Seasoned and versatile rockers Dee Tyler (guitar/bass), Sean Francis (drums) shape the sound, and Ansel Foxley (electric dobro) makes a rock and roll weapon out of a roots instrument seldom electrified and incorporated in the rock and roll sound.
With Kraft penning the tunes and the band fine-tuning structures and compositions, the Patti Fiasco puts forth songs with just enough twang, hook, pop sensibility, lyric savvy, and old school charm to bend genres and attract listeners from all sides of the musical spectrum.
Karee and Candice Miller are the singing sisters that make up The Miller Sisters. Living in Victor, Idaho, they make frequent appearances in Teton Valley Idaho, Jackson, Wyoming, and beyond bringing their unique blend of rockabilly and Americana/Folk. Candice and Karee Miller engage the audience throughout the night with their electrified, inviting stage presence and soulful, resonant vocals. The Miller Sisters have been singing together since they were kids, creating a bond that transcends the physical world, ventures into the uncharted, and captures every listener in the process.
Music in the Park is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, the Town of Pinedale, the Sublette County Recreation Board and the Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission.
