Across the national, Republicans have been attending caucuses and presidential primaries to choose delegates to the National GOP Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida in late August, and the makeup of these delegates will determine who the Republican nominee will be. On Saturday, March 10, starting at 1 PM, the Sublette County Republicans will be selecting Sublette County's national delegate to attend the National GOP Convention.
Back in February, the first rung of the ladder was held when any registered Republican in Sublette County could attend their precinct caucus, and vote for delegates to the County GOP Convention. On Saturday, those delegates will be attending the County GOP Convention, which will be held at the BOCES office in the old Elementary School in Pinedale, starting at 1 PM.
Although only the delegates can vote and fully participate, anyone is welcome to come and observe.
Democrats, who combine their caucus and Convention into one single event, will hold their event in Sublette County on April 14, but there is little doubt that President Obama will be their nominee for President.
