Online purchase of hunting & fishing licenses and stamps growing in popularity

Sales of hunting and fishing licenses online through the Game and Fish website continue to be very popular with Wyoming’s hunters and anglers.
More than 80 percent of hunters used the online process to obtain their hunting licenses in drawings completed earlier this summer. In July, when regular and reduced price leftover licenses for elk, deer, and antelope were made available, thousands of hunters took advantage of the convenience of using their home computers to obtain these licenses.
For licenses with carcass coupons, the actual license is received a few days later in the mail. After the license is purchased online, a receipt of the sale can be printed on the home computer. The actual license is mailed the next business day from the Cheyenne Headquarters following the online application. Most addresses in Wyoming can be reached by mail in a few days. For out-of-state addresses it could take a few days longer. Hunters on a tight schedule may opt for purchase of these licenses in Wyoming at automated license agents if there is a concern over mail time. For other online licenses such as fishing, small game/bird, and various stamps, the actual license and stamp is printed from the home computer.
Licenses and stamps are also available at the 300 plus traditional license agencies scattered throughout Wyoming.
The following licenses, permits, and stamps are now available for online purchase: Antelope—Full price Antelope—Reduced price Deer—Full price Deer—Reduced price Elk—Full price Elk—Reduced price Fall turkey Fishing Bird and/or Small Game Black Bear Mountain Lion Conservation Stamp Archery permits Elk special management permit Pheasant special management permit Wildlife Damage Management permit Hunters can access hunting and fishing licenses on the Game and Fish website http://gf.state.wy.us.
