Archeologist Dr. Ken Cannon, of Logan, Utah, examines a rusty carriage bolt found along the New Fork River at what is thought to be the 150-year-old river-crossing site of the Lander Trail. Cannon, along with other professional and amateur archeologists and volunteers, spent last week looking for buried treasures at the Sublette County Historical Society’s new 82-acre park, which opens to the public next summer.
