Friday, July 1, 2011: High water conditions occurring on streams around the Upper Green River Valley today and over the 4th of July weekend, including the New Fork River, Pine Creek, East Fork and Green River.

High flows expected from Fremont Lake increasing stream flows along Pine Creek through Pinedale starting Friday (today).

Water is rising on Green River near Daniel.

Emergency management personnel are mobilizing sandbags to locations in the Upper Green/Kendall Valley and Daniel area.

East Fork River flows into New Fork River near Boulder are high and expected to cause road damage near the Sullivan bridge crossing.

Parents cautioned to be watchful for children and animals around flowing water. Also watch out for hypothermia in frigid still water situations which can overtake even strong swimmers and cause drowning. Volunteers not needed at this time.
