Bridger-Teton hosts fire contracting seminars
One in Marbleton on April 20th at the Senior Center

Jackson, Wyo. – The Bridger-Teton National Forest will be hosting two seminars for fire equipment contractors. The first seminar will be held April 20, at 5:00 pm at the Senior Center in Marbleton. The second on April 21, will be at the Forest Service Log Cabin at 340 N. Cache in Jackson (next to the Supervisors Office).
The seminars are to aid area individuals or businesses in becoming fire equipment contractors for the 2010 fire season. Equipment contractors are required to register through VIPR in order to provide services during wildfires or other types of incidents. Topics covered include; how to sign up, dispatch priority process, and requirements. Types of resources are anyone who wishes to provide equipment such as water trucks, graders, dozers, and individuals who wish to be drivers. Food vendors are not required to register through VIPOR but may find the seminar informative.
