Robot Wars
Sublette County Fair 2009

This was the second year for the Robotics Challenge at the Sublette County Fair. The event was open to any youth between the ages of 8 to 18.

Each student designed and built their robot using Lego brand robotic kits. They programmed software to have their robot do a sequence of tasks using a choice of touch, sound, light, or ultrasounds sensors to work with. The sensors allow control over movement, distance traveled, detection of objects, travel to or from an object, opening or closing a robotic arm extension and claw, rotation movement, and start/stops.

The event was sponsored by Sublette County 4-H and EnCana Oil & Gas USA which generously provided funding for the initial kits and the prize kits for the winners.
