The Associated Press reports tonight that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to back out on its defense of the wolf delisting rule that had wolves delisted in the Northern Rockies earlier this year, until a federal judge reinstated federal protection while he considers a lawsuit filed challenging the rule.
