Activity has been increasing in the DEQ Jonah webcam over the past several weeks with earthmoving and road work. Last week, viewers were able to watch as a new well pad was prepared and gas well drill rig went up in the cam view. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Jonah air quality monitoring site is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Farson, approximately 7 miles west of Highway 191, south of Highway 351. This station began operation in January of 2005. The digital camera, ozone analyzer, oxides of nitrogen analyzer, continuous PM10 monitor and meteorology equipment located at this site were purchased by EnCana Oil and Gas (USA), Inc. The webcam’s purpose is to monitor visibility of the air in the Jonah Field.
Frequently updated information from the webcam and weather monitoring equipment can be found on the DEQ air quality webpage for the site at: DEQ Jonah Webcam
