Man arrested for robbery at Loaf ‘N Jug in Marbleton

On March 16th, 2008, at approx. 12:33 am, Sublette County Deputies were dispatched to a panic alarm at the Loaf and Jug in Marbleton. Upon arrival, Deputies found that a resident of a local man camp had been robbed by threat and use of force. The victim received minor injuries during the altercation in which his wallet, cell phone and approx. $50.00 dollars in cash were forcibly taken from him. A Detective was called to the scene to investigate.
A bolo, be on the lookout, was issued by dispatch the next morning to oncoming deputies of the suspect’s description. Dayshift deputies observed a subject entering the Loaf and Jug in Marbleton the next morning at approx. 8:04 am who matched the description. The deputies stopped and spoke to the subject who placed himself in the area during the time of the incident. The detective was called back in and after a subsequent interview of the subject, it was determined that he was the person involved. A search warrant was executed at his residence in Marbleton where the stolen items were recovered. The suspect is a 29-year old Hispanic male who has lived in the area for only 2 weeks.
The case is currently under review by the Sublette County Attorney’s Office, but charges of Robbery are expected to be filed soon.
