February Jonah Interagency Office newsletter available
by Jonah Interagency Office
March 2, 2008
The February Jonah Interagency Office (JIO) newsletter is available on the web and at the Jonah Interagency Mitigation and Reclamation Office. The newsletter is a quarterly production that is intended to keep the public, as well as potential project applicants, informed of the agency’s progress.
The February edition of the newsletter introduces readers to Ted Rentmeister, who was recently selected as the BLM Project Coordinator for the JIO. Additionally, readers will receive updates on the Wardell Buffalo Trap Project, as well as information on various Jonah Field wildlife species and their relationship to mitigation. The newsletter also provides the 2007 fourth quarter surface disturbance report and a guide to open/refuse burning.
The JIO is still accepting project proposals through March 10, 2008. To apply for funding, please visit the JIO website at: http://www.wy.blm.gov/jonah_office which provides links to JIO Mitigation Goals and Strategies as well as an on-line application and funded and unfunded projects.
The JIO newsletter provides the information you need to stay informed and current. View it on-line or, to receive a hard copy, you may stop by the JIO office located at the Pinedale BLM Office, 1625 West Pine, Pinedale, Wyoming. For more information, please contact Ted Rentmeister at 307-367-5363.
