4.2 Earthquake rattles Yellowstone Park Tuesday morning

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake rattled Yellowstone National Park Tuesday morning, March 25th, at 5:59 AM. According to the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Information Center in Golden, Colorado, the quake was at a depth of about .2 miles. Its epicenter was 23 miles south of Cooke City-Silvergate, Montana; 48 miles WNW of Cody, Wyoming; 15 miles north of the east entrance. There have been no reports of damage, however people reported feeling the quake as far away as Thermopolis, Wyoming and Billings, Montana.
