Feb. 7 final day for Plains Eagle proposal public comments
Exploratory oil and gas wells on Bridger-Teton NF near Bondurant

Reminder: Thursday, February 7 is the final day for the public to send in comments to the Big Piney Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) regarding the Plains Exploration & Production Company proposal to drill one to three exploratory oil and gas wells on National Forest lands near Bondurant.
The BTNF prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement which was released in February 2007. If the exploratory wells are successful, Phase II of the project would involve potentially developing the field with 16 additional well pads that would involve 133 bottomhole locations over a ten-year period.

Electronic comments may be sent to comments-intermtn-bridger-teton@fs.fed.us with the subject line “Eagle Prospect and Noble Basin Master Development Plan”.
Comments received, including names and addresses of those who comment, will be considered part of the public record and will be available for public inspection. Comments submitted anonymously will be accepted and considered; however, those who submit anonymous comments will not have standing to appeal the subsequent decision.
