Lifeguard Training offered in Pinedale
At the new Pinedale Aquatic Center

The Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) is offering Lifeguard Training during the month of July. The class costs $65 per person and students become Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certified when the completed.

Dates: July 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th (Mon.-Fri.) Time: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Date: July 28th (Sat.) Time: 10:00am-5:00pm
Date: July 30th (Mon.) Time: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Cost: $65.00 per person (includes textbook and face mask)
Requirements: Must be a swimmer!!!!! Participants will be required to swim 500 meters consecutively, demonstrating the following strokes: Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breast Stroke and Side Stroke. Must attend all sessions for successful course completion.
All participants will need to bring: A Swimming Suit & Towel, Water Bottle & Snacks, Pen & Paper.
Registration: Call 307-367-2832 or stop in at the temporary office located at the Pinedale High School. RSVP your interest no latter than July 20th. Payment due first day of class.
Directions: Head towards the Pinedale High School on Hennick St. Come in through the Auditorium/Administration entrance; The class will be in the old yearbook room at the top of the ramp, room # 312.
The Pinedale Aquatic Center has a number of job openings to staff the new complex. Certification makes you eligible to apply for many of these positions. _______________________________________ LIFEGUARDING UPDATE CLASS JULY 23-25
A mini “Lifeguarding Update” course will be held July 23-25 for all currently certified ARC lifeguards.
The first update offerings will be: Place: Pinedale Aquatic Center Date: July 23rd, 24th, 25th (Mon.-Wed.) Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Requirements: Students must attend all 3 sessions to recertify. RSVP by Monday, July 16th.
Cost: No cost to “successful” lifeguards when they fill out an application to work at the Pinedale Aquatic Center. Otherwise, the cost will be $35.00 per person.
Into to PE lifeguard candidates (i.e. 3rd quarter “break out block” from Mr. Steege 4th, 6th, & 8th periods classes) need to attend this update to satisfy remaining course requirements.
Later this fall, the Aquatic Center will be offering Water Safety Instructor (WSI) training.
