Pinedale BLM invites public to on-site visit May 21

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is inviting the public to participate on Monday, May 21 in a public on-site visit to a proposed well in the Stewart Point area.
“The proposal from Ultra Resources involves a minor expansion to the existing Sherman Federal 15-8 well pad to drill the Stewart Point 10D1-18 well,” said Merry Gamper, BLM Pinedale natural resource specialist supervisor. The proposed well is located in the MA-4 Sensitive Viewshed area as defined by the Pinedale Anticline Project Area (PAPA) Record of Decision.
Participants will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the new BLM office in Pinedale. Two hours have been allotted for the public to review the proposal in the field, beginning at 3 p.m. Written comments on this pad expansion will be accepted through June 1, 2007.
Along with public comment at the on-site visit, comments may be submitted electronically to Pinedale_WYMail@blm.gov, referring to Stewart Point 10D1-8 in the subject line, or mailed to Merry Gamper; BLM Pinedale Field Office; P.O. Box 768, 1625 West Pine Street; Pinedale, WY 82941.
When providing comment to BLM documents, participants’ name and address may become part of the public record.
The BLM office is now located at 1625 West Pine Street in Pinedale. It is recommended that people joining the caravan to the on-site should drive or ride in higher clearance vehicles, but four-wheel drive vehicles are not required.
