According to a news release by National Gas Intelligence (NGI) on Monday, Pinedale "soon could become the center of the domestic natural gas universe". The quote is attributed to Stuart Nance, director of oil and gas marketing for Ultra Petroleum, speaking in reference to the Pinedale Anticline and Jonah Field. According to the news release, "The 1,323-mile pipeline planned by Kinder Morgan and Sempra Energy, along with an upstream extension by Overthrust Pipeline, soon will be putting Pinedale on the map for eastern markets."
