Fremont Lake Hikers should be aware of abundant bear activity on the Glimpse Lake trail.

Dave Bell hiked the Glimpse Lake trail on Saturday, a favorite spring walk he enjoys for the extraordinary vistas of Fremont Lake and the Wind Rivers.

He said, "Today, I was able to get about a quarter-mile past the wilderness boundary before the trail became impassable due to snow. Also, I encountered many, many (many) bear scat piles.
