The Maintenance Technician is the cornerstone of operations across White Pine Resort, White Pine Adventure Inn, Cozy Cabins, and Jade Street Housing, working independently yet remaining a vital link to our broader maintenance team.
Position Overview This position is for a dedicated and resourceful Maintenance Technician to support the diverse properties within the White Pine Collection. This is a highly autonomous role that requires a proactive mindset and a focus on property stewardship, groundskeeping, and operational support. You will be responsible for the physical upkeep of resort facilities, guest lodging, and employee housing, ensuring all properties are guest-ready and safe.
Key Responsibilities
Safety - Uphold the highest safety standards across all White Pine Collection properties by conducting regular safety inspections and addressing hazards immediately. - Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. - Consistently utilize and maintain the correct PPE for the task at hand (e.g., eye/ear protection for grounds work, safety harnesses for lift maintenance, and high-visibility gear for snow removal.)
Hotel & Property Maintenance - Ensure the White Pine Collection properties are maintained in guest-ready condition at all times. - Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections to identify and resolve aesthetic or functional issues. - Respond promptly to daily reactive work orders for general repairs (non-trade). - Ensure all maintenance work supports seamless hotel operations and high guest satisfaction.
Ski Area & Infrastructure Maintenance - Maintain all ski area facilities, including the lodge and guest infrastructure, to ensure safe and reliable operations. - Lift Maintenance: Assist with specialized ski lift maintenance during the summer season. Possession of or the ability to complete the NSAA "Online Lift Maintenance Program" is required. - Work collaboratively with ski operations staff to address maintenance needs that impact mountain operations and seasonal preparations.
Preventive Maintenance & Work Orders - Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all buildings, systems, and equipment using Limble CMMS. - Manage and prioritize work orders efficiently, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship. - Maintain detailed digital records of all repairs, inspections, and tasks completed. - Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to schedule contractors and vendors for specialized trade-specific repairs (electrical, plumbing, etc.).
Groundskeeping & Seasonal Operations - Perform all groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, weeding, brush clearing, and exterior building upkeep. - Execute snow removal operations for roads, walkways, and parking areas using plows, blowers, and shovels. - Perform the seasonal setup and teardown of outdoor amenities (patio furniture, signage, etc.) and prepare buildings for weather-related challenges. - Assist in the winterization and de-winterization of water systems and seasonal equipment according to established best practices. - Maintain clean common areas by removing debris, managing trash receptacles, and ensuring all outdoor spaces are hazard-free.
Communication - Report regularly to the Director of Maintenance on property conditions, completed work, and upcoming needs. - Coordinate with hotel and ski operations teams to minimize disruptions to guest services.
Qualifications
Required - Property Maintenance Experience: Proven experience in general facility upkeep, groundskeeping, or hospitality support. - NSAA Training: Completion of (or commitment to complete) the NSAA "Online Lift Maintenance Program." - Problem Solving: Highly resourceful with the ability to work autonomously and manage a dynamic schedule. - Physical Stamina: Capable of performing strenuous outdoor labor in extreme weather conditions (heavy lifting, shoveling, and working at heights). - Valid Driverfs License: Required for traveling between the various property sites. - Insurable: Must be insurable under Hugo Wyoming Management vehicle policies.
Preferred - Software Proficiency: Previous experience with Limble CMMS or similar maintenance management software. - Hospitality Background: Experience in resort, hotel, or multi-unit residential property care.
