Description:
Employee will provide technical and professional management by serving the public in maintaining records for motor vehicle registrations and related fees collection. Will perform general office work and assists with other duties of the County Treasurer’s office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to and works under the Treasurer, an elected position
- Compute Factory prices for vehicles, use that figure to compute the cost of license plates
- Issue license plates and registrations
- Compute and receipt sales tax
- Receipt property taxes
- Balance a cash drawer nightly
- Process credit card, cash and check payments
- Read and be current on Wyoming State Statutes
- Correctly and efficiently process monthly and yearly reports
- Other duties as needed/required
- Assist other clerks when needed
Requirements and Skills:
- High School diploma required- Knowledge of bookkeeping and finance procedures preferred
- Ability to operate a computer, 10-key calculator and other office equipment with accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
- Work with the public and staff in an efficient, friendly manner
- Ability to handle information discreetly
- Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a credit check
Salary: Starting salary is from $49,072.30 depending on experience, plus a generous benefit package that includes paid employee health/dental insurance, HSA contribution, life flight coverage, retirement, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, and disability insurance.
